Top 3 Tested Email Subject Rules Used by Brian Tracy

Hello, hacker!

We’ve been watching out for some e-mail marketing approaches done by influencers so we can ‘copy’ their writing style.

One global figure we have followed is Brian Tracy, an international author and coach.

After receiving several e-mails about leadership and book writing over the years, we noticed how Brian Tracy frequently use three effective e-mail subject methods.

Here are some techniques we can follow from his examples.

  1. Personalize.

Using your e-mail recipient’s name on the subject line increases your open rate by 67%.

Personalizing the email makes the readers feel special as if Brian Tracy is talking to them directly.

If you’re an internet marketer or online entrepreneur, you’re competing with other businesses or influencers for your reader’s attention.

See the arrows in yellow?

Upon opening my promotions inbox, my eyes are naturally drawn to e-mails with subjects having my name on it.

It makes me feel that the message is intended for me and not a spam.  Hence, I’ll most likely open the message.

  1.  Highlight the benefit.

Writing the benefits of your offer in your e-mail subject lifts open rate by 57%.

As online entrepreneurs, sending sales offers are part of our e-mail sequence.  If you are sending a giveaway in your newsletter, you can consider writing what the reader will get as part of your e-mail subject.

This is a straight-forward approach that will help you attract readers who are interested in the content of your e-mail offer.

3. Use scarcity.

Aside from writing the benefits, notice how Brian Tracy used the scarcity approach for his e-mail.

The phrase “Limited Time Offer” creates a sense of urgency in the copy and will subconsciously influence the readers to open the e-mail.

You don’t want to miss out on a great deal, right?
